Living the Catholic Faith
The Catholic Foundation continually strives to provide tools and guidance for modeling "Stewardship, A Way of Life". In June, The Stewardship Committee hosted the first ever Stewardship Conference. More than 300 clergy, religious and lay leaders from across the Diocese gathered for a day of inspiration and idea sharing. Practical methods for implementing stewardship at the parish level were shared by local and national leaders. Keynote speakers included Fr. Daniel Mahan, Director of the Marian University Center for Catholic Stewardship, Bishop Sylvester Ryan, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Monterey, Leisa Anslinger, a nationally recognized author and several lay leaders from the Diocese of Sacramento. Workshops addressed a wide range of topics from engaging youth and other cultures to the importance of social media.
