Stan Devereux is new director of Office of Stewardship and Development for Diocese

also serves as Executive Director of The Catholic Foundation

Bishop Jaime Soto has appointed Stan Devereux as the new director of the Diocese of Sacramento’s Office of Stewardship and Development. In this position, Devereux also serves as the executive director of The Catholic Foundation. He began his new role on March 28.

Devereux comes to the diocese with extensive and diverse experience in business development, marketing, communications, fundraising and public relations. For nearly nine years, he was vice president of Pac/West Communications in Sacramento. Prior to that position, he was assistant state treasurer for the state of California, a senior consultant in the California State Senate, and external affairs manager for the Western States Petroleum Association and the California Earthquake Authority.

He began his career in television news as an anchor, reporter and producer for stations from Alaska to California. He is a graduate of Washington State University’s Edward R. Murrow School of Communications. He and his family are members of St. Mary Parish in Sacramento.
